- John has been married to his Heartbeat, Dr Kristin Evans Ragsdale AKA "Lady K" since 1993. They have two wonderful sons, Evan and Davis.
- In 2012, John and Kristin founded The Hills - a thriving, life-giving church in Nashville, TN. The Hills became The Life Church Nashville in 2024.
- John was the co-host of the internationally televised program “The Awakening”.
