21 Days of Prayer and Fasting

The Central Triad Church body participates in a 21-day corporate fast at the beginning of each year. It is a powerful time of unity and revelation of the miraculous.

We have video prayer devotions on the Central Triad Church App, Website, FB, Instagram and Youtube starting at 6am each day. Let these short inspirational videos give us a daily direction for prayer as we Loose from us the issues that the world has tried to place on our shoulders and Bind to us the promises of God over our lives, the promise of Hope and a Future in Him.

Scripture references for prayer:

Types of Fasts

The biggest thing to remember about Fasting is, if it means something to you it will mean something to God.  Keep this in mind as you begin this process of drawing closer to God. Fasting is not depleting the flesh but denying the flesh. Fasting is about strengthening your spirit and encouraging your faith. Fasting helps to add works to your faith while believing the miracle is happening and deliverance is on the way.

Below is a list of different types of fast to choose from. Let this be a guide you can use to develop your fast for the next 21 days. We will see God do powerful things as all of us here at Central Triad Church pray and fast together in one mind and one accord.

We will see the “Suddenly” together as we Transform Lives, Produce Believers and Impact the World.

Complete Fast
In this type of fast, you drink only liquids, typically water with light juices as an option.

Selective Fast
This type of fast involves removing certain elements from your diet. One example of a selective fast is the Daniel Fast, during which you remove meat, sweets, and bread from your diet and consume water and juice for fluids and fruits and vegetables for food.

Partial Fast
This fast is sometimes called the “Jewish Fast” and involves abstaining from eating any type of food in the morning and afternoon. This can either correlate to specific times of the day, such as 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, or from sunup to sundown.

Soul Fast
This fast is a great option if you do not have much experience fasting food, have health issues that prevent you from fasting food, or if you wish to refocus certain areas of your life that are out of balance. For example, you might choose to stop using social media or watching television for the duration of the fast and then carefully bring that element back into your life in healthy doses at the conclusion of the fast.
